Slender Threads is playing at Edinburgh Festival Fringe from Friday 5 August to Sunday 28 August (excluding Wednesdays).
Slender Threads sensitively explores the physical and emotional effects of a cancer diagnosis on a young woman and her family. Flashbacks, memories and conversations are interweaved with audio-recordings of individuals’ personal experiences, interviews with medical professionals, sumptuous multimedia visuals, a stunning original soundtrack and creatively choreographed movement.
This is a moving and poetic production that offers a transformative and life-affirming perspective on a difficult subject.
Reviews & Awards
“The visual and dramatic elements of the production are mesmerising, but above all “Slender Threads” provides a life-enhancing experience of how individuals can come to terms with the gravest situations. A must-see production.” Stuart Sweeney, Critical Dance
''A sensitive portrayal of a woman’s experience of cancer. Communicating as much information as it does emotion, this is a piece with true integrity from a company with true compassion.'' THE LIST 4*

Audience Feedback
''I found it brave, moving, honest, utterly raw in places, funny at times and full of optimism.''
''I thought it was an immensely powerful piece of work – especially using the dancers to express how the subjects were feeling when perhaps they were unable to verbalise it themselves.''
