  • Venue:  Chickenshed Bar

    Tickets:  £10 adv

    Time: 20:00

    Age: 16+

A fantastic evening headlined by Fern Brady, featuring Sindhu Vee, Joz Norris, ‘The Story Beast’ and last but definitely not least, the uplifting, politically-charge funnyman Tiernan Douieb.

Our headliner Fern Brady is a fiercely funny and provocative comic, with an invigorating ability to combine eloquence and bluntness. Fern has been performing stand up since 2010 and has had two sold out critically acclaimed runs at the Fringe with her solo shows “People Are Idiots” (2015) and “Male Comedienne” (2016).

Described as “A great comic sensibility, with moments of sparkling verve“ by The Guardian.

The Story Beast (alias John Henry Falle) started out in the award winning sketch act The Beta Males. His debut solo show The Story Beast  was an instant hit at the Edinburgh Fringe, earning him a nomination for the Edinburgh Comedy Best Newcomer Award and going on to have sell out runs at the London Soho Theatre.

White hot brilliance… one hell of an achievement.’ ★★★★ Time Out

We are also joined by Sindhu Vee, BBC New Comedy Awards finalist is most likely the tallest Indian woman you'll ever meet. She devotes all the time she has left over from raising her 3 children (and a bizarrely gigantic Labrador) to comedy and suffering facial peels.

Joz Norris is a prolific comedy writer and performer, known for his brand of surreally inventive character comedy and engaging, faux-naif storytelling. He is a cult figure on the Edinburgh Fringe scene, where he has written and performed solo shows of character comedy, stand-up, storytelling and other nonsense. He wrote the sitcom pilot Deathbed for performance at the Soho Theatre as part of the Comedy Project 2016 and has starred in comedy projects including ITV2's @elevenish, Dave's The Dave Talks, Channel 4 and Wild Seed Comedy's Shambles.

"Genuinely medicinal, and cheers the soul." - British Comedy Guide

And last but definitely not least, the uplifting, politically-charge funnyman Tiernan Doueib, who is our wonderful MC for the evening. Tiernan co-runs the successful Comedy Club 4 Kids and has performed and written several solo shows.
