Sponsor a production: market your business, invest in the arts - Anglo Irish case study
Proving that you can mix corporate responsibility with an appreciation of the arts and the role children and young people can play, Anglo Irish donated £125,000 to Chickenshed in 2006. The funding was to enable two productions to take place - our increasingly popular Children's Shows and the now nationally acclaimed Christmas production. Virginia's Wolf and J's Son and the Argonut's played this July to delighted audiences including Anglo Irish staff members. This year's Christmas spectacular is Chickenshed's version of Grimm's fairy tales - Grimm Nights & Everafter Days - and once more sees every member of our Children's and Youth Theatre on stage during the run. Without Anglo Irish's huge investment in our theatre, this would not be possible. In return we could provide advertising, press coverage, client and staff entertainment opportunities and a powerful brand link. We're now working with Anglo Irish and their staff volunteers to bring Chickenshed to schools in Tower Hamlets through their primary school literacy scheme - so developing our partnership further.
