Top UK drummer Steve Taylor leads and exhilarating 17 piece line up in a tribute to Buddy Rich. This “fiery and hard hitting” (Time Out) Big Band will perform a world-class live act worthy of the late-great Buddy Rich himself.

Steve, supported by his dynamic Big Band, pays tribute to childhood drumming idol Buddy Rich superbly performing rare classics such as a West Side Story medley that has not been heard live in the UK since Buddy toured with such success.

This concert, in comfortable surrounds of the Chickenshed Theatre Bar, will capture the sheer excitement and quality playing of drummer Steve Taylor and his Big Band. As a Mill Hill Jazz Festival promoter said – “it will blow your mind”.

The Band features some of the finest talents in the UK gathered on one stage, including musicians with outstanding credentials from regular appearances at Ronnie Scott’s Club to the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.

The evenings performance will also feature compositions by Pat Metheny, Bob Mintzer, Gordon Godwin and Mike Tomaro.
