'If you have never seen the work of Chickenshed before, then you are in for a treat!'  David Walliams

Something very strange is happening in Alfie’s town. Children are leaving teeth for the tooth fairy, only to find some very odd – and horrible! – things left under their pillows.

Alfie is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery – while avoiding any trips to the dentist at all costs... Packed with larger than life characters, exciting twists, heartwarming relationships and a truly chilling villain, Demon Dentist is an electrifying adventure from the imagination of the nation’s bestselling children’s author.

Thrillingly scary and brilliantly funny, this new musical version of one of David Walliams’ best loved books marks the third brilliant adaptation of David’s work by Chickenshed - a company David has described as ‘possibly the most important theatre company in the world’.

Now, open wide – this might sting just a little bit…

Reviews for Mr Stink, 2018

“There’s no doubt that Chickenshed have triumphed with this show. An already heart-warming story is brought to life by a talented group of performers and creative team. It seems fitting that a theatre company that celebrates diversity and inclusiveness should create a stage adaptation of a story that does the same. Engaging, touching and fun, I thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Stink – well done, Chickenshed!” 5***** The Spy in the Stalls

"A joyous and entertaining production." 5***** London Theatre 1

"I would definitely see this again and recommend it to people who like a laugh. To enjoy it the most, I think you would have to be in an age group of 6-600." View From the Cheap Seats

"Fluent, lively production, spectacular set." British Theatre Guide

"In a wonderfully intimate atmosphere lucky theatregoers were made to feel as inclusive as the production itself by this wonderful and generous theatre company, and our very own, modern-day Roald.” Sardines Magazine

"Chickenshed did a wonderful job of making this work on stage." Curious Mum

“It’s a great show to kick off the summer holidays – light hearted but with an emotional punch and a strong moral that will stay with you, just like Mr Stink’s stench stayed lingered in the Crumb’s kitchen.” London With A Toddler

About David Walliams

David Walliams has revolutionised reading for children and has become one of the most influential writers today. 2018 celebrates the tenth anniversary of his children’s fiction, which began with The Boy in the Dress (2008), illustrated by the iconic Sir Quentin Blake. Since then, his global book sales have exceeded twenty-three million copies in fifty-three languages.

In 2017, David became the first children’s writer to spend 100 weeks (non-consecutive) at number one in the children’s charts, he topped the Sunday Times bestseller charts four times, and secured the coveted Christmas number one - a spot David has secured for the last three years running!

With a canon of ten chart-busting novels, two short-story collections and five hilarious picture books, David Walliams has cemented his place as one of the most important children’s authors of our time. The Guardian recently hailed him “as important to the market as any Booker prize-winner and heir to the Rowling crown”.
