Please note these workshops have been postponed until end May. Updates will be issued as necessary.

Do you remember the heady, optimistic days of Britpop, when things could only get better?

Its hard to believe it is 25 years since Jarvis Cocker contemplated chance meetings in his song Something Changed..

Where would I be now, where would I be now if we’d never met?

Chickenshed launches a new theatre project for people in their 30’s and 40’s, celebrating how things can change when we make connections, when we close the space between us.

Using lyrics and music of the Britpop era as inspiration, the creative process will involve movement, drama, writing and storytelling, drawing on its participants lived experiences to devise an original piece of theatre for performance in June 2020.

Want to join us? Definitely? Maybe?

If you are aged between 30 and 50 you are welcome, no experience in the performing arts necessary, just an openness to try something new and find new connections.
