Get Ready for Chickenshed's Spring Season!

We are thrilled to announce the line-up for our Spring Season, which promises to excite and inspire! This season we are tackling some very big themes - and in many different ways.

We kick off with a celebration of short form: monolog, leading off with Alan Bennett's comic solo play, Her Big Chance from the acclaimed Talking Heads series. This is Me, a moving autobiographical piece by the fantastic Diane Samuels, will be presented alongside this. Diane is also very excitingly helping us to curate a series of newly written pop-up monologue performances alongside the scheduled performances – more details to follow! Our Rayne Spring Show will address the issues of man-made climate change in a powerful new musical Don't Stop Thinking about Tomorrow. This will build on the work delivered by the company last spring with the hugely successful Blowin' in the Wind, which was described as ‘impassioned and committed’ by The Stage. Barely pausing for breath, we will launch into the iconic play One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. We are incredibly excited to be taking this well-known and loved classic and approaching it in a brand new, Chickenshed way.

We are continuing our much-loved series of the children's show that constantly changes and develops, Tales from the Shed, whilst Planet Play, the team's new initiative aimed at our very youngest audiences, continues to go from strength to strength. With all of this and of course, fantastic workshops and some wonderful live music lined up, we can hardly wait for 2018!
