We are delighted to announce our jam-packed Summer 2018 line-up - and with lots of different shows, events and workshops to enjoy and experience, summer at Chickenshed promises to be an exhilarating one!

Following 2017’s rip-roaringly successful adaptation of we are thrilled to present David Walliam’s much loved Mr Stink on stage. Chickenshed is hugely proud to be bringing this hilarious and heart-warming tale to life from 18 July to 5 August. Suitable for ages 6 and up, this enchanting and delightful adventure guarantees to enthral children and adults alike. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you may even want to hold your nose!

Our bumper Summer Season also features a new offering from the team: Tales from the Thousand and One Nights for 3-7s, and Planet Play’s Thousand and One Days for those under 3. Why not be the very first to experience this ‘feast of fantastic fables’?

We’ll also be hosting an extra special evening of exceptional music bringing together the fabulous Liane Carroll and the incredible Julian Marc Stringle for one ‘Big Night of Jazz’, as well as hosting some of the best and brightest comedy around in our refreshed and renewed Comedy Shed.

We are excited to be offering our children and young people a new platform to share their incredible work in our New Routes festival, and if you know any budding theatre enthusiasts aged 12-17, why not mention the Summer Scratch to them? This week full of devising, writing, choreographing, composing and performing is sure to be a summer hit.

Finally last year’s Chickenshed Pop Up saw a wonderful array of performers, with external artists joining some of the very best new work from the Chickenshed creative community. Spoken word, performance poetry and chamber performances delighted audiences and we can’t wait to do it all again this year. Details will be available on the website very soon.
