A New Year for Chickenshed Young Company

Chickenshed Young Company enters its first full year and develops its working practice and methods of being youth-led. 2019 is Chickenshed’s 45th year and is the first full year of Chickenshed Young Company. Young Carers: Alyssia's Story

Alyssia joined Chickenshed in 2014 after her (then) counsellor suggested she attend, as she was a young carer for her mother at the time. With so many adult responsibilities, young carers can often feel isolated and are unable to fully pursue what they love to do. Four years on, Alyssia is in her fourth year of study at Chickenshed and has found a passion for Production and regularly volunteers with our Production staff.Read more

Chickenshed was delighted to be approached by BBC Radio 4 in May this year asking if they could feature our theatre company on their hugely popular programme The Reunion. The Reunion is a fantastic radio series that reunites a group of people intimately involved in a moment of modern history.
