If you have a disability or additional access needs, or you book on behalf of someone who does, why not join our Access Scheme? By joining we can ensure you receive the right discounts and access to locked seats such as wheelchair spaces and the best seats for viewing BSL or captions.

How to join the Access Scheme

To join our Access Scheme you can either:

  • Login to your account on our website and update your details as below
  • Call the Box Office on 020 8292 9222

If you have previously booked with us you will probably have an account with us already. If you have never booked online you will need to go to the Account page and click on the reset password link to be sent an email to setup access to your online account.

If you do not have a Chickenshed account you will need to create one by visiting the Account page, choosing 'Register Now', completing your details and selecting the relevant preferences when prompted.

If you already have an online account you can go straight to the 'Other Preferences' section in Account page and select the relevant preferences:

  • I am a wheelchair user

  • I am D/deaf or hard of hearing and use captions

  • I use a wheelchair but prefer to transfer to seat

Selecting these options will allow you to access the relevant seats online.

NB. After selecting your preferences as above you may have to log out and back in again.

Free tickets for Personal Assistants

If you need a Personal Assistant, to be able to visit the theatre, the PA can receive a complimentary ticket. Please contact the Box Office to discuss this.

Free Personal Assistant tickets are for people who provide a service without which the customer would not be able to attend a show, event or workshop at Chickenshed. These tickets are not intended to be used by customers who simply want someone to attend with them, or who just need assistance with transportation to the theatre. Free Personal Assistant tickets are given where the customer would otherwise incur a financial disadvantage without that support

Please note a parent accompanying a disabled child under the age of 14 does not qualify for a free Personal Assistant ticket, as all children must be accompanied by at least one adult.

Booking access seats online

Below is a step by step guide to booking access seats online

  1. Log in to your account before selecting the show/tickets so that the system recognises you as an access user. You can do this by clicking on ‘Account’ at the top of the page and entering your email and password.
If you're using a mobile device the 'Account' link is found in the menu.
  2. Once you are logged in, click the ‘Shows’ link at the top of the page, scroll down through the upcoming events and click on the event you want to book
  3. From the event page choose the performance or session you’d like to attend and click the ‘Times & Tickets’ button
  4. If it is a performance with reserved seating this will take you to the seating plan.

Essential Companion seats will be marked with a star symbol, next to the wheelchair symbol.
Best view of caption screen seats will be marked with open captioning symbol

These are just our recommended seats and you don't have to choose them, you can buy any available seat in the theatre.
