How to book

To book tickets go to the show or workshop on our website or call the Box Office on 020 8292 9222. We accept all major credit/debit cards, or cash if booking in person. We also accept Theatre Tokens - these can only be redeemed over the phone or in person

We advise you to book in advance as we cannot guarantee that tickets will be available on the door.

We do not charge any transaction fees or booking fees. We charge a £1.50 admin fee for any changes to bookings.

Ticket delivery

In order to be more sustainable we would encourage you to get your tickets by email. E-Tickets are free of charge. You will receive them to your email address but you can also access them by logging in to your account on our website and clicking ‘E-tickets’

They will be emailed to you as a pdf and you can just show them on your mobile device, there is no need to print your e-tickets. If you need to send them to someone else you can forward the pdf or send them a screenshot of each ticket.

Tickets can be collected from the Box Office with a charge of 50p per booking

Tickets can be posted if they are booked more than 3 days in advance. There is a £1 charge per booking for postage

Concession prices

We offer the following concessions on some events:

  • Child – aged 16 and under
  • Student – in full time education
  • Senior – aged over 65
  • Unwaged – not in paid employment

Pay What You Want

For some shows we offer tickets on a Pay What You Want basis. You can choose to pay anything from a selection of set prices. If the amount you wish to pay is not available please call the Box Office to make your booking.

Personal Assistants

If you need a Personal Assistant, to be able to visit the theatre, the PA can receive a complimentary ticket. Please contact the Box Office to discuss this.

Free Personal Assistant tickets are for people who provide a service without which the customer would not be able to attend a show, event or workshop at Chickenshed. These tickets are not intended to be used by customers who simply want someone to attend with them, or who just need assistance with transportation to the theatre. Free Personal Assistant tickets are given where the customer would otherwise incur a financial disadvantage without that support

Please note a parent accompanying a disabled child under the age of 14 does not qualify for a free Personal Assistant ticket, as all children must be accompanied by at least one adult.

Access tickets

We offer a reduced rate to wheelchair users and people coming to our Accessible Performances usually equivalent to the lowest price ticket available for that performance.

Please see our Access page for more information

Children

Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over

School bookings

Discounted tickets for nurseries, schools or colleges are available for certain performances and prices vary. Please contact the Box Office on 020 8292 9222 or email bookings@chickenshed.org.uk

Latecomers

To avoid disturbing other audience members or our performers, latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point in the performance. Some shows may not admit latecomers until the interval.

Returns and exchanges

It is Chickenshed’s policy that tickets cannot be refunded, and any returns or exchanges are discretionary, for which an admin fee will apply. No returns or exchanges can be made less than one hour before the performance start time, or after the performance has taken place.

If we cancel a show you will be entitled to a full refund or you may choose to receive a credit to your Chickenshed customer account to use on any future booking. Credit is valid for 14 months
