Education and Training Vocational Training Creating Tomorrow - Making Youth Guided Theatre Chickenshed, through its Young Company, has developed a youth guided and youth led approach to making theatre that puts young people right at the core of the creative process. This January we will be opening up this process to practitioners interested in developing their methods of creative work with young people. This course, led by our Head of Young Company Matthew Lyons, Youth Theatre Director Robin Shillinglaw, and members of the Chickenshed Young Company, explores how we develop stimuli into material and take these ideas forward when making theatre with large and small groups of young people. During the course participants will work alongside current members of our Young Company and will be a practical, hands on approach to planning and delivery alongside the Chickenshed team, with ongoing reflection and evaluation embedded throughout the week.
