Join us for a special conversation with Sir Derek Jacobi, one of Britain’s most distinguished actors. A founding member of the National Theatre and winner of multiple awards including the BAFTA, Olivier, Emmy, Screen Actors Guild and Tony, Derek’s career spans six decades across stage, film and television. His iconic performances range from I, Claudius, Gladiator and Gosford Park to Last Tango in Halifax, The Crown and The King’s Speech, alongside a celebrated legacy of Shakespearean roles.
Derek will be joined by Richard Clifford - actor, director and his partner since the 70s. Richard’s work spans film, theatre and opera, including performances in Kenneth Branagh’s Much Ado About Nothing. For over two decades he has been director at the Folger Shakespeare Library.
This special evening is a fundraiser for Chickenshed, with Sir Derek and Richard proud Ambassadors and long-standing supporters of our work.
Together they share stories, reflections, and insights into a life lived in the theatre.
