What is Boots & Beats?
Saddle up — we're going dancing.
Boots & Beats is our brand new fundraising evening and it promises to be one of the most fun nights of the year. Expert instructors from The Cactus Club (led by the brilliant Peter Flockhard) will guide you through a brilliant line dancing session — and you absolutely do not need experience to join in. The music spans far beyond country, so there's something for everyone.
No dress code, but cowboy boots and hats are absolutely encouraged! This is an aerobic activity.
All proceeds support Chickenshed's work with children, young people and communities.
Event information
Doors open at 6.30pm
We’ll open the doors before we get dancing so that everyone can arrive, grab a drink, and settle in before the dancing begins.
Dancing begins at 7pm!
It's time to hit the dance floor led by The Cactus Club who’ll guide you through a mix of easy-to-follow routines, perfect whether you’ve danced before or are trying it for the first time. Expect a lively mix of music across the night, not just country, but a wide range of feel-good tracks to keep everyone moving.
8pm - take a break to refuel
We’ll take a short break for some light refreshments to refuel and enjoy the atmosphere.
8.30pm - back in line!
Show off your new moves, put your new-found skills to the test and strut your stuff on the dance floor for more dancing, laughter and feel-good tunes, followed by the evening's raffle!
What to wear?
There's no set dress code though please make sure you're comfortable and ready to dance! Cowboy boots are very welcome (and highly encouraged for extra dance-floor flair), though this isn't specifically a country music night. Expect a fun mix of music, movement, community and laughter throughout the evening.
