Big Day Out offers a variety of Big workshops, Big activities and even Bigger shows throughout the building and garden. In this Big Day Out the whole building becomes your playground, with fun round every corner.

There is something for everyone. Expect music, dancing, stories, puppet-making and arts and crafts – all delivered in Tales' signature inclusive style, with a splash of silliness!

A Big Day Out comes with big cravings, and we've got you covered at our cafe and an exciting food truck.

Places are limited – early booking is recommended.

The Children’s Summer Season FlexPass is a flexible, money-saving way to enjoy a summer packed with fun, laughter, and adventure.

It’s a pre-paid ticket bundle that gives you access to a wide range of eligible children’s events throughout the summer festival, all at a discounted rate.

Whether your child loves theatre, storytelling, music, or hands-on workshops, the FlexPass lets you secure entry in advance without committing to specific events immediately. Think of it as your child’s golden ticket to a summer of memories – but with built-in savings.

Seating is mostly on mats on the floor so that children and performers can freely move around the space. Chairs are available for anyone who would prefer not to sit on the floor.

We've got you covered with baby changing, disabled access, space to park buggies and even a cafè to get a tasty treat!

Limited free parking is available in front of the building.
