Tales from the Shed

Each carefully crafted Tales from the Shed show is packed with educational songs, movement, and language games, designed to support brain development and early learning in young children. 

We celebrate diversity and inclusion in everything we do, creating a space where all children - no matter their background or ability can take part and feel the magic of theatre.

Every week brings a brand-new theme, making each performance a unique adventure! Having worked alongside early years experts for over three decades, our diverse team brings stories to life with much-loved characters like Can-Can the beautiful bird, laid-back Lion Down, and the hilarious Thing That Goes Blurgh! These stories aren't just entertaining - they're designed to inspire creativity, promote emotional expression, and foster social interaction among children.

At Tales from the Shed, we believe in the power of performance to spark joy, curiosity, and connection. By encouraging participation, we invite children to actively engage with the stories, helping to create lasting memories and nurturing a love for learning.

Tales from the Shed are vibrant, inclusive theatre shows that are perfect for young children.

They are informal, lively and amazingly engaging as the performers and audience share the same space.

The Tales from the Shed FlexPass is a flexible, money-saving way to enjoy Tales shows packed with fun, laughter, and adventure.

The Tales from the Shed FlexPass is a pre-paid ticket bundle that gives you access to our regular season shows and our special seasonal themed shows i.e. Sunshine Tales, Easter Tales and Halloween Tales. Our Christmas Tales is not included within this bundle.

Think of it as your golden ticket to unforgetable experiences but with built-in savings.

Tickets must still be booked in the usual way and payment will automatically be redeemed against your FlexPass.

Running Time

Approx. 50 minutes

Tales from the Shed is for children from 0-6 years only. With the exception of older siblings, no children over the age of 6 will be admitted.

This is a relaxed, family-friendly setup designed for young audiences.

• Children will be seated on the floor close to the action
• Some chairs are available for adults or those who need them
  

Capacity is limited to keep the experience intimate and engaging.

We've got you covered with baby changing, disabled access, space to park buggies and even a cafè to get a tasty treat!

Limited free parking is available in front of the building.
