We are looking for a Trusts Development Manager to join us at Chickenshed on a 13 month contract.

Chickenshed has a proven track record of fundraising from a range of grant-making trusts and foundations, currently generating an annual income of c £450k. Chickenshed wants to further grow this revenue stream to support all areas of the companies work across performance, education and training, participatory activities and outreach work in schools and the community.

The post will lead on income generation from Trusts and Foundations: researching new funding prospects; collating project information for applications; writing persuasive and inspiring applications; compiling informative impact reports; cultivating and stewarding supporters; and ensuring accurate records are maintained.

This role would suit someone with at least 1 years’ experience in Trusts and Foundations, such as a Trusts Officer, Trusts Executive or Fundraising/Development role, looking to specify and have responsibility for Trusts and Foundations income.

The successful candidate will join a fun, collaborative and high-performing fundraising team, which has led year on year growth, and will play a key part in supporting Chickenshed at a pivotal time in its history.

  • Proven success in writing compelling documents and delivering engaging presentations
  • Excellent communication skills; able to build and manage relationships, both internally and externally
  • Eager to develop professionally, have a passion for the arts, education and/or social welfare
