Day One - Big School

Chickenshed's production "Day 1 - Big School" was created and devised around the words and opinions of 1000 children of primary school age about what would make schools and communities safer for children from negative influences, bullying and being exploited.
We Are Chickenshed

Chickenshed is an amazing organisation, which for 45 years has been built upon the stories of the thousands and thousands of people who count themselves part of our community. These short films shine a light on just a few of these individuals, and serve to highlight how Chickenshed stands for one unique proposition – that we can all choose to create a better world where everyone is welcome and everyone is included.
Sponsor a Seat

Back in 2004 on our 30th anniversary we started offering seat sponsorship in the Rayne Theatre. Now in 2017 we are in ever increasing need of funds to support our passion and belief in inclusion.
Survivors

Funded by the National Lottery of Wales, Survivors is a long-term outreach project working with victims of domestic abuse throughout Wales.

History

In 1974, musician and composer Jo Collins met teacher and director Mary Ward. Sharing a belief that everyone should be able to perform and create, they set up a theatre company.

How to Find Us

The theatre is located approximately 10 minutes walk from Cockfosters Underground Station and 12 minutes from Oakwood Underground Station. Both stations are on the Piccadilly line.

Level 3 Training

The BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts is a two year full time course, nationally recognised as an equivalent to three A-levels (Level 3). Over the course of two years you will have the opportunity to explore dance, drama and musical theatre through a series of units and gain practical experience of inclusive theatre practice.
