Microvolunteering Day

Every year Chickenshed volunteers generously give thousands of hours to support the work of Chickenshed in many different roles, projects and activities. This amazing collective effort gives Chickenshed an invaluable, precious resource it could not otherwise afford.

Individually, each year over 40 Chickenshed volunteers are nominated to receive a recognition award from Enfield Council for giving over 100 hours of volunteering. On Monday, 26 March, 24 Chickenshed volunteers were able to attend the 100 Hours Volunteering Awards ceremonies and were presented with certificates by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Enfield and other senior members of the Council.

As well as the gift of their time, each individual volunteer brings their unique personality, particular skills, talents and experience to Chickenshed. Our volunteers are generous and inspiring people whose passion and enthusiasm for Chickenshed is contagious.

In working together for the good of the company, every single one of our volunteers epitomise the vision of a society that enables everyone to flourish, truly changing lives. Whether it be one hour or 100 hours, all of our volunteers make an incredible and significant contribution to the lives of others and we are so proud to celebrate them.Chickenshed Volunteers
