Our Spring Show, The Washing Line, has been a huge success. Most of our performances have been totally sold out and we have received fantastic reviews from every reviewer that has been to see this production.

Broadway World is one of the main reviewing sites for New York’s Broadway and London’s West End.  They have been to Chickenshed in the past – but of course not through Covid and possibly a couple of years before then. Not only did they give us a hugely unusual and prestigious 5***** Review from the opening night on Wednesday, but the Chief London Reviewer emailed saying "I had to get up at 5.30am on Thursday morning, so I had four hours to reflect not just on the story, but on the way it was told and I wondered if any other company could do it, before writing the review. I've seen the National do big community events that have parallels, but it's not the same. I think it's genuinely unique. When you're lucky enough to see the number of shows that I do, they can fade in the memory quite quickly - this one won't."

Also we have just heard that this production has been nominated for an Offie Award in the Performance Ensemble Category.  This is a first!  We have been nominated in the Performances for Young people 5+ and 8+ - but to be nominated in the Ensemble Category is amazing.

The Washing Line closes on Saturday 26 March and there are only a very few tickets left. Please contact our box office to arrange tickets - 020 8292 9222.
