Matthew has been a Director of Chicken Shed Property Company since 2012 and was until earlier in 2025 a Director of Chicken Shed Theatre Trust and Chickenshed Trading Limited. He has lived in the area close to the theatre for many years and his family have had long standing connections with the organisation both on and off stage.
Professionally Matthew is a Chartered Accountant and Corporate Treasurer, currently employed as Director of Treasury for Bromford Flagship, a large Housing Association, having previously had senior roles at organisations including Royal Mail, De La Rue and Taylor Wimpey.
