Murray is an investment banker with 40 years of experience in financial services and a wide range of senior governance roles in the not-for-profit sector.

He was Vice Chairman of the EMEA Mergers & Acquisitions group at JPMorgan, with a career centred on providing a broad range of corporate finance advice to clients across multiple countries and sectors, including some of the world’s largest international firms.

Not-for-profit board and chair experience has covered all aspects of strategy, leadership, and governance. His current non-executive roles include Chair of Trinity College London, Vice Chair of Greenwich University, and trusteeships at the Royal Institute of British Architects and other organisations.
