School and Community Fundraising

Fundraising in Your Community

Whether it’s hosting a bake sale, coffee morning, sponsored walk, or dressing as a reindeer and running 5km (yes, this has happened) - our community of supporters have never ceased to amaze us with their colourful and creative efforts that have raised crucial funds for Chickenshed.

How your community group can get involved

There are so many ways to get involved. Perhaps your local community group can take on a challenge? You might...

  • Have a bucket collection at a local event
  • Host a social event – like a a quiz night, a BBQ or a bake off
  • Dress down or dress up!

Whatever event you decide, we’ll be there to support you all the way. Every £1 raised from your efforts help us to reach more children and young people. It really does make a difference.

“Before we came to Chickenshed I wasn’t sure where we belonged, I felt we were a burden, life was hard and we weren’t happy. Now we are! Charles has progressed beyond my wildest dreams; he’s happy now and will be starting the BTEC course in September. Something that we could never have imagined. What’s happening here, should be happening everywhere.”

The Chickenshed Charity Challenge!

Can you raise £10 for Chickenshed?

Are you fabulously creative? Do you have a marvellous imagination? Could you come up with magnificent ideas and raise money for Chickenshed?

Then we need you!

Chickenshed's Charity Challenge is a brand new initiative for schools and local after-school groups to get involved in. Children can be part of something amazing and raise £10 for Chickenshed Theatre by coming up with their very own fun and exciting challenges. They might like to hold a sponsored silence for the class; perhaps arrange a fun run or bake and sell delicious homemade goodies.

“We did various events such as bake sales, not speaking for 10 minutes, and a fun run around the park, this was all done outside of school, so hopefully your charity and all your good work will be spread through our family and friends."

Bute House School Council and Charity Challenge participants

Charity Challengers receive a pack of posters, postcards and collection envelopes for their group. If you would like more information or if you would like to take part in Chickenshed's Charity Challenge, please contact our Community Development Manager on 020 8216 2768 or email [email protected]
