Gladstock 2025

On Saturday 6 September, Chickenshed was buzzing with energy as we hosted Gladstock, a vibrant music festival created by The Space Between Us team to celebrate intergenerational connection between our younger and older members.

The event was packed with entertainment including dancing, face-painting, musical performances and a nostalgic 1960s quiz.

Our day ended with a heartwarming show of unity, where over 100 people of all ages came together on the dancefloor for a good old-fashioned boogie!

Bringing People Together

Gladstock brought together members of the Gladrags Secret Society, our young hosts, volunteers and individuals from our partner AGEUK Enfield.

Held during Alzheimer's awareness month, the festival celebrated the incredible impact that music, movement and community connection can have on those living with dementia and Alzheimer's.

Gladstock had a positive impact on everyone who attended - carers were able to relax and recharge, whilst our younger members formed meaningful bonds across the generational age gap.

“I absolutely love supporting these events. The difference Gladrags makes to people’s lives is truly something special!”
