What is the Wonder Walk?
We’re thrilled to bring back our joyful community Wonder Walk event on Sunday 7 June 2026, and we’d love for you to be part of it!
This year, we’re working hard making the event bigger and even more wonder-ful! Join hundreds of walkers as we take on our accessible 5K and 10K routes through the beautiful green spaces around Chickenshed, including Trent Park, Oakwood Park, and Grovelands Park.
By taking part, you’ll be helping us reach our 2026 fundraising goal and supporting Chickenshed’s life-changing work with young people and local communities.
Schools/community groups registration
This year we have introduced a schools/community youth group registration offering a discounted rate for groups of 10+. Click on school/community youth group registration when registering. If you have any questions please email community@chickenshed.org.uk.

Wonder Walk T-Shirts
At Chickenshed, we’re always looking for ways to make our events more sustainable and community-minded. For the 2026 event, we’ve decided not to include t-shirts automatically with Wonder Walk registration.
Why aren't we including a t-shirt?
Because small changes make a big impact. By reducing the number of new shirts produced, we can further cut down on the environmental footprint of our event.
We’re inviting everyone to celebrate creativity and sustainability by:
- Wearing your 2024 or 2025 Wonder Walk t-shirt again
- Designing or decorating your own Wonder Walk top
- Or, if you’d like a Wonder Walk 2025 t-shirt, you can buy one from our limited stock with your registration.
More ways to support
You can help out at the Wonder Walk by getting involved with one of the many volunteer roles on the day, or by sponsoring the walk. Find out more below.
Why join us?
The funds raised from the 2026 Wonder Walk will go towards the Young Company Support Initiative.
Through our Young Company Support Initiative, we offer subsidised places to help families who may struggle with programme costs. Support ranges from 25% to 100% of fees, depending on individual circumstances, and is available to all Young Company members to ensure financial hardship doesn’t prevent participation.
