Trusts and Foundations

Trusts and Foundations

We use theatre to champion difference and demonstrate the strengths of a more inclusive world.

As well as our professional performances, we deliver a wide programme of Education and Training, participatory activities and outreach work in the community. We bring together children and young people from every walk of life – with a range of abilities, perspectives and personal experiences – to learn, share values, challenge labels and exceed expectations through an ethos of inclusivity. This is a place where everyone supports each other, in order to discover each individual’s true potential.

Trusts and foundations play a crucial role in supporting many areas of our work. With your support, we are able to:

  • Create entertaining and thought-provoking theatre and performance, that raises the profile and adoption of inclusive practice in the sector, demonstrating excellence without exclusion.
  • Provide weekly creative learning activities and performance opportunities for our inclusive membership groups as well as open access activities for our community.
  • Bring young people together from every walk of life to achieve accredited qualifications and reach their potential through our unique education programme.
  • Offer vocational training for young people, from all backgrounds, who want to develop their creative skills through our Young Creators programme.
  • Deliver outreach workshops and projects in schools and community settings, tackling social exclusion.
  • Open our doors to everyone, and make sure our performances, activities and our building are accessible to everyone.

For more information about our work or to talk to us about how you can support Chickenshed, please contact Clara Westmorland, Senior Development Manager on 020 8216 2769 or email [email protected].
