Why this matters now

Some schools are being priced out of creativity

Across the UK, schools are facing cuts to arts and PSHE budgets. For many, bringing in creative workshops, theatre performances, and inclusive learning experiences is becoming impossible - not because they don’t value it, but because they simply can’t afford it.

And that means young people miss out.

What We Do

We take theatre and creative learning into the schools that need it most

  • Outreach performances like Day One Big School and Crime of the Century
  • Inclusive drama workshops that build confidence and empathy
  • Creative learning that supports PSHE, wellbeing and expression
  • Work designed so every young person can participate

With your support

What your donation could help make possible:

  • £25

could help provide creative materials for an educational outreach session with young people.

  • £50

could help support the time of skilled practitioners delivering inclusive educational outreach in schools.

  • £100

could contribute towards the preparation, travel and delivery of an outreach session.

  • £250

could help support a creative workshop for a group of young people through our educational outreach programme.

  • £500

could help support part of a full day of educational outreach in a school where access to creative learning is limited.

  • £1,000

could help support a full day of educational outreach - including a performance and workshop - ensuring cost is not a barrier for a school that would otherwise miss out.

Why Now?

Our Spring Show The Wrong They Knew explores themes of empathy, justice and understanding - the same values that drive our education outreach. Equal Stages turns those themes into real-world impact in classrooms.

Impact

"Some of these students have never been to the theatre before - and the way they are interacting with the characters and the story - it's just an amazing opportunity for them to have."

Oakwood School, Head of Drama

“The excellence of the performance, coupled with the quality of the workshop helped the children to contemplate these really difficult issues in a safe, interactive and engaging environment.”
