Magically transported back to the island he created in The Tempest, Shakespeare is put on trial by characters from his past plays. We find the playwright questioning how he should be remembered and fearful of who will decide his fate, as he is taken on an emotional journey in which his legacy and reputation are scrutinised.
This unique and large-scale production will be spoken and sung in modern and Shakespearian language and will include music and dance performed by a cast of 180.
A dramatic, entertaining and accessible introduction to Shakespeare that will also offer fresh and intelligent perspectives for those who are familiar with the playwright.
